faith like potatoes

Today i have titled this blog as "faith like potatoes " based on a movie that i watched called "faith like potatoes". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mG0VCYYwziw
It is where a certain South African farmer believed that he would harvest potatoes from a drought season, when all the people told him he was crazy and that he would not have any potatoes, he trusted God and never lost faith. With a completely dry season and no chances of seeing any rains according to the scientist, the farmer got all his monies from the bank and prepared his fields and planted the potatoes and he left the rest in God's hand. Time for harvest came and what was found under the ground was just so amazing such that a lot got converted and believed in Jesus Christ because of the man's faith. why faith like potatoes, its simply because the farmer could not see what was under ground of the potatoes but he just had faith that at a right time he was going to harvest the potatoes. This leads to the point of how faith operates and its important to note that in Hebrews 11 or the examples we are given we see that the people did not only have faith but they also had patience . So how can you describe your faith right now, is it like the faith of potatoes? let me know by leaving me a comment. thanks and enjoy the rest of the blog.
Have you ever wandered the greatest principle that we believers operate under?
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for - On the general nature of faith, see the notes on Mark 16:16. The margin here is, "ground or confidence." There is scarcely any verse of the New Testament more important than this, for it states what is the nature of all true faith, and is the only definition of it which is attempted in the Scriptures. Eternal life depends on the existence and exercise of faith Mark 16:16, and hence, the importance of an accurate understanding of its nature. The word rendered "substance" - ὑπόστασις hupostasis - occurs in the New Testament only in the following places. In 2 Corinthians 9:4; 2 Corinthians 11:17; Hebrews 3:14, where it is rendered "confident" and "confidence;" and in Hebrews 1:3, where it is rendered "person," and in the passage before us; compare the notes on Hebrews 1:3. Prof. Stuart renders it here "confidence;" Chrysostom, "Faith gives reality or substance to things hoped for."its faith by which we depend on for our inheritance, mark16:16.listen to what  many servants of God did by faith in Hebrews 11
King James Version (KJV)

Hebrews 11   http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Hebrews+11&version=KJV

1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2For by it the elders obtained a good report.
3Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
4By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
5By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
6But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
7By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
8By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
9By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
10For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
11Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
